Active Child‘s highly anticipated album, Mercy, is available today. Mercy serves as a follow-up album to electronic artist Pat Grossi’s critically acclaimed 2011 LP You Are All I See and his 2013 EP Raptor. Through Mercy, Grossi’s lyrics express yearning and heartbreak tinged with traces of hope. His fragile yet strong falsetto vocals are supported by minimal, dreamy synthpop, solidifying Mercy as Active Child’s most emotionally raw album. Pitchfork describes Mercy as “a maudlin and sentimental record full of longing and loss, aided by rich analog-sounding synth, plucked harp, and ambient samples.”
