Fresh off the heels of a wildly successful SXSW, Brooklyn’s Ghost Beach in conjunction with TBWA Agency have launched an exciting campaign, called Artists vs. Artists. The campaign is provoking the conversation around music piracy and what it actually means in 2013.
Is music piracy stealing or sharing? Is it helping artists or hurting them? Is it the future of music or the end? Ghost Beach is asking artists and music fans to pick a side. In conjunction with a billboard in Times Square and an interactive website, we’re asking media, musicians and fans to weigh in on the conversation and take a stand by tweeting their support either #artistsforpiracy or #artistsagainstpiracy.
Be sure to check out the website. It is very interesting to see different bands’ perspectives on the issue of music piracy. As of today, an overwhelming amount of artists are actually for piracy. What do you think?
