Much of JJ Sheffer’s life revolves around her love of music – especially live music. She lives in York, PA, a town that has its own great local music scene and is also an easy drive to venues in Philly, Baltimore, DC, and Jersey. Her tastes span a broad range of musical styles. While many of her friends refuse to cross the “over-30 line” at concerts, and prefer to watch from afar, our JJ likes to stake out a spot close enough to the action to get drummer sweat on her. She is president of New Muse Entertainment, LLC, a special event company, project manager for CoWork155 in downtown York, and a talent buyer for York-area events and small venues.
She studied English/Professional Writing at Kutztown University, where she served as the arts & entertainment editor for The Keystone newspaper, and eventually graduated from Penn State University. She and her son spend as much time as possible listening to music, making playlists, sharing their favorites with friends, and going to shows together.
