Best of Firefly Music Festival Day 3 - Photo Recap
WHAT: Firefly Music Festival
WHERE: Dover, DE
WHEN: Sunday 7/23/12
J Roddy Walston and The Business
AWOLNATION then took over The Lawn Stage, encouraging as much crowd surfing as possible.
Cold War Kids
Fitz & The Tantrums
Death Cab for Cutie
Allen Stone simultaneously rocked The Porch Stage, gathering an impressive crowd considering Death Cab was playing on the other side of The Woodlands. Stone, brought his high energy and soulful blues/gospel inspired tunes and got the entire crowd to put on their dancing shoes by putting on not only a show, but a dance competition that split the fans in two!
The Flaming Lips
The Flaming Lips took over The Lawn Stage with their one-of-a-kind show that, naturally, included audience members dressed as Wizard of Oz characters, wild visuals on the screen, tons of confetti, and all kinds of crazy stage props.
The Black Keys
The Black Keys followed on The Firefly Stage, playing their more recent hits, as well as a few of their most memorable older tunes. The boys killed it, ending the festival perfectly with an “unplanned” encore.
Overall everything about this this festival was EPIC! Red Frog Events went BIG… no wait… went HUGE… no wait… WENT MASSIVE with the first year of this fest. Hats off to the entire team!
