“Trashphisticated rock music” is what Big Lazy call their genre of music. They’re an instrumental rock band that has had their music featured in movies, HBO series’, and they even composed the soundtrack for the documentary, “Art and Craft“. They are a trio of phenomenal musicians who know how to create music for any given situation. The band is confidently led by guitarist Stephen Ulrich. Their music really reminded me of jazz music, as in they would all take turns soloing (yes, even the bassist and drummer got solos). They had so much fun on stage that it would have been impossible for anyone there to not enjoy his or herself. If you unfortunately missed out on this intimate show, don’t worry, Big Lazy will be back for the Lancaster Roots and Blues festival, February 6-7th, so make sure to catch them then!
