BURIED BEDS
APE SCHOOL
IN ONE WIND
Buried Beds will be headlining the bill. We’ve been looking forward to this show for months! We just came off some solid touring with Dr Dog, the Head and the Heart and Murder by Death and are happy to be home in this fair city and taking the stage at the lovely JBs. We’ll spend the rest of the summer recording the next record. Eliza and Beaver will hit the road as members of Nightlands, our bass player Dave Hartley’s wonderful solo project for 5 weeks starting may 31st, so this will be our last chance to share music with our friends before we are deep into summer!

Ape School will play second. Ape School is the amazing mind of Michael Johnson. Though his albums are mostly solo endeavors he has a full band to pull it off live and we are really excited to share the stage with them!!!

In One Wind from NYC will open up the show for us. We heard about these guys from Anthony La Marca (of St. Vincent) who produced their record.
Here is their BIO: http://inonewind.com/
“In what seem like meager beginnings, In One Wind has blossomed from a one man act into a full fledged six piece ensemble, with a sound and reputation all their own. The brainchild of guitarist/vocalist Angelo Spagnolo, In One Wind also features vocalists Mallory Glaser and Lily Claire Nussbaum, bassist Rob Lundberg, percussionist Max Jaffe and multi-reedist Steven Lugerner.
Though steeped in the tradition of folk music, In One Wind incorporates a wide range of influences from jazz to country, even stretching effortlessly into the world of improvised music and the avant-garde. The ability to start a show with soft guitar strums and whispered vocals while seamlessly breaking into odd-metered grooves and lush three part harmonies enraptures their audiences. In One Wind is truly an idiosyncratic ensemble, an ensemble that appropriately represents their home – Brooklyn, NY – where they have quickly established a solid footing in the greater New York music scene. “
