At TSI we are not only crazy music heads, but most of us grew up as dedicated Philadelphia Sports Fans. That being said, we were stoked when a little birdie… OK maybe a BIG birdie (no pun intended) informed us about an upcoming benefit show in the works. Now that it’s official, we are even more excited after hearing the complete lineup.
You can’t get much more Philly than this!
Philadelphia Eagles linebacker, Connor Barwin has incredible taste in music – don’t believe me? Check out the shows/fests he’s been to on his Instagram page. And now he’s put together a benefit show to prove it – and all for a great cause. The concert features TSI Music Award Winners and Philly’s own Kurt Vile and The Districts, plus incorporates Connor Barwin’s past Texas ties with indie rock greats The Tontons. The show benefits Barwin’s recent venture “The Make The World Better Project” (MTWB) to raise funds for a park revitalization project benefiting children in the community.
All proceeds from the concert will be donated and matched by MTWB for the revitalization project at Ralph Brooks Park in South Philly.
From 7 to 8 p.m. there will be a VIP meet and greet with participating musicians and Philadelphia Eagles players, including host Connor Barwin, LeSean McCoy, DeMeco Ryans, Jason Kelce, Todd Herremans, Najee Goode, Bradley Fletcher, Mychal Kendricks, Trent Cole, Cary Williams, Brent Celek, Bennie Logan and more. There will also be an open bar and catering from Prime Stache.
Friday, June 20th.
Doors open at 8 p.m.
