Cornmeal and Railroad Earth brought their A game this past Saturday to The Rams Head in Baltimore Md. This was the last of 6 shows together. Both bands have a lot in common. Cornmeal formed in 2000 and is a 5 piece band from Chicago Il. that brings lighting fast tempos and harmonies with a progressive bluegrass sound. They never play the same show twice writing their setlist just before going on stage. They have 3 studio  and 1 live albums out to date. They will be heading home to Chicago to do their annual Thanksgiving weekend show. Then into the studio to work on their 4th studio album. Then it is off to Jam Cruise January 4th to the 9th.

Railroad Earth formed in 2001 from Stillwater N.J. A 6 piece band that can be described as bluegrass/celtic/rock and roll and more. They too will not play the same twice writing setlist just before taking stage. They have 5 studio and one live album. Their latest album Railroad Earth on One Haven Music was just released in October. From here they will be headed to the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg Pa. for their annual shows at Thanksgiving. They will be doing a couple more shows in the north east Fri. 12/10/10 at The 9:30 Club Washington D.C. and 12/11/10 in Philadelphia at World Cafe Live. Then it is of to Denver Co. for 3 night NYE run. They in mid January they’re on a busy winter tour.
