Tuesday night at the World Cafe Live Philadelphia, David Uosikkinen brought his 5th  In the Pocket record release party and the packed house enjoyed every minute of it.  The night was designed to celebrate the release of the cover of Robert Hazard’s classic song, “Change Reaction”.  With Robert’s wife Susan in attendance along with family, many old time friends and fans, we are sure Robert was smiling down on the crowd.

Backed by an all star band of Philadelphia musicians, Ben Arnold stepped in to sing the classic and the audience loved every minute of it.  Those who participated with this song and many others throughout the night included at various points during the evening:   Rob Hyman, Eric Bazilian, John Lilley ( a former member of Robert Hazard’s band),  Fran Smith, Jr. and drummer David Uosikkinen all of The Hooters; Steve Butler, guitarist T.J. Tindall, Bobby Michaels (sax), Cliff Hillis (bass), Graham Alexander, Greg Davis ( guitar ), Richard Bush, Tommy Conwell and from the Soul Survivors Charlie and Richie Inqui.

During the course of the evening we enjoyed some great Philadelphia classic songs performed by the people who brought them to life.  We sang along, tapped our toes, clapped our hands and we danced. Some of the songs that were enjoyed included: “Expressway to Your Heart” from the Soul Survivors; “I’m Not Your Man” by Tommy Conwell,  “Do The Dance” from Richard Bush; and from The Hooters “And We Danced”. It was a such a great night not only for Philadelphia and the  people who created the music but for the audience at the World Cafe on a  Tuesday night.  We
gathered together  to enjoy an evening out and  celebrate the music legacy of Robert Hazard and his classic song “Change Reaction”.
