DEVO played to a sold-out Irving Plaza in New York City last Tuesday night with Japanese, avant-garde rockers Trippple Nippples.  DEVO kicked things off garbed in their white space suits rocking “Don’t Look,” “Peekaboo,” and the 2010 track, “What We Do.”

After switching to their traditional blue hats and yellow costumes, DEVO kept it old school with “Girl You Want,” and the smash hit “Whip It.”  After a quirky video tribute to the late Carl Sagan, DEVO finished the night off with “Smart Patrol,” “Gates of Steel,” and a two song encore featuring “Freedom of Choice” and “Beautiful World” (see the complete set list below).

DEVO will be finishing up their Winter 2011 tour with dates in Atlantic City and Huntingdon NY before heading west for two nights in San Francisco and Napa, CA.  Additional photos from Trippple Nippples and Devo can be found here.
