Grizzly Bear just dropped another single in anticipation of their upcoming album Painted Ruins, which debuts on August 18th. Switching from the upbeat urgency of “Mourning Sound” is the slower, dark and twisted paradise track, “Four Cypresses.”

With opening lyrics drawling, “Instead of moving, you stared into a wall” the song’s tone of languid, terrifying complacency is set. Continuing with the lines, “Living in a pile / It’s chaos, but it works,” the song marches lazily on through a hectic, noise-filled world.
