Hear Rare Version of Elliott Smith's "Alameda"
To commemorate what would have been Elliott Smith’s 43rd birthday on August 6, his former label, Kill Rock Stars, is releasing some rare and unreleased tracks. The first is a new version of the song “Alameda” that features new lyrics of the song that originally came out on Smith’s 1997 record Either/Or. Later this month, Kill Rock Stars will also release reissues of Either/Or and Elliott Smith’s 1995 self-titled album. On August 6, the 2012 compilation album An Introduction To… will be on sale for $4.99 all day.
