We have a knowledgeable staff, who are the best at what they do. They will be able to teach and lead a students hands on to prepare them for a full-time career with Tri State Indie or many other music industry or marketing related career choices.
Who should intern with TRI STATE INDIE?
Ideal candidates are Journalism, PR, marketing, Photography, Videography, or music industry majors/minors
who wish to pursue future careers with an online music publication and/or music brands marketing and events firm. We look for students who can take on weekly assignments, stick to strict deadlines, have great communication skills, knowledge of new technologies and social medias, excellent writing abilities, skills in photography, videography, post editing, web design, broadcast journalism, journalism, advertising, PR, and marketing. You will be encouraged to think creatively and bring ideas to the table.
What type of qualifications should you have?
Must be able to take weekly direction on assignments and be able to stick to deadlines. Must be able to handle conducting phone or in-person conversations about TSI and think creatively. Must love MUSIC, must be a music junkie and love researching and educating others on new music. Must have knowledge of the independent music scene. Must be available and enjoy going to concerts/festivals and be able to convey experiences to readers. Must have working knowledge of all current forms of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Youtuve, etc). Must be over 18, have daily access to a computer, e-mail, phone, be responsible and well organized. Must have flexible availability. Some weekend and evening hours required.
