When I ask festival promoter Todd Jones what’s new for Jammin’ For The Animals he has a lot to say. “First off we have a new venue. We have moved to the Kempton Music Center in Kempton,Pa. We keep expanding every year! We have two great headliners this year. Juggling Suns headline Friday night and Cris Jacobs [formerly of the Bridge] is the headliner on Saturday.” Other acts include The Folkadelics, Flux Capacitor and Hexbelt. “We have two days of solid Rock and Roll jamming”, says Jones .

Also appearing at the festival for the first time is Copper Into Steel who are based in Tennessee. Jammin’ For the Animals, which donates part of the proceeds to local animal shelters is community based and family and pet friendly. “You will see all types of animals there. I am even bringing my pet caymans.” says Jones. The event will also keep in the tradition with it’s visual arts presentations. Lancaster based RT222, who do on-site painting to music will be there. “We have great food vendors which change every year and look out this year for the “Hoop Mistresses”, an 8 piece performance art group that lights up the night with their LED displays. As always Jammin’ For the Animals is a great weekend festival that helps a good cause.
