Kings of Leon have been quite for some time now since their last album Come Around Sundown which was released October 2010. The band has announced that they’ve been working on a new album that is currently under sequencing and is due sometime around September.

“I thought we were going to make a really mature album but I’m amazed how youthful it sounds,” bassist Jared Followill said, “It’s like a mix of Youth & Young Manhood and Because of the Times,”

Fans will probably get a taste of their new album during summer music festivals where Kings of Leon plan on making appearances. They’ll be at places like New York’s Governors Ball Music Festival, Alabama’s Hangout Music Festival, and California’s Bottle Rock Music & Arts Festival, in addition to others.
