Mark your calenders because the Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival is returning to historic downtown Lancaster Pennsylvania for its second year. Last year’s lineup featured a wide aray of artists from across the country, from the late great blues rocker Johnny Winter, to the young American roots music torch carrying soul picker, Parker Milsap. This years lineup is proving to pack just as much heat, drawing from both well established, and up and coming blues and American roots artists from around the country.
The other great thing about the Roots and Blues Festival is it gives you a taste of downtown Lancaster’s flourishing culture and nightlife, as the shows are spread out all within walking distance to some of the cities great bars and music halls, such as Tellus 360, Elks Lodge, and Lancaster Dispensing Company. A number of Lancaster local artists will be featured as well, such as Tellus 360 mainstays Andy Mowatt, and Corty Byron.
Heres just a few of the more than 60 artists that will be appearing on the festivals 10 walkable indoor stages.
