The cozy confines of the Tin Angel was host to Laura Cheadle and her band on August 5th. It would be an understatement to that I enjoyed their show. When you first see Laura she looks very unassuming, but as soon as she starts to sing you are blown away. Not to mention her amazing band, featuring her twin brothers and her father. And with her mother sitting in the front row, it was definitely a family affair. Not since the Partridge Family have I seen a family band that can straight up rock! But I’d definitely have to say that Laura Cheadle is way better looking than David Cassiday.

The band came out with one hit after another. “Perfect Design”, a song about a person with a sexy body started the set. Next they cranked it up a notch with the hard rocking Rock Me Baby where brother Jimmy showed off his axe skills. For me personally their track Hey There Devil was my fav of the night. I guess a song about dating the wrong person over and over again is something I can understand.

Performing their short and to the point set left the attendees wanting more. Laura and crew came back up to the stage and did a medley of Stevie Wonder songs that took the show to the next level. The encore for this show was far better then some full shows I’ve seen recently. So good in fact, I felt as if I owed Laura something at the end of the night…lol.
