Recognized by the Asbury Park music scene, this past year Lost in Society was titled “Top Punk Band” by the Asbury Music Awards. Now, the alternative punk trio joins American Pinup to debut the Lost In Society X American Pinup split album release at the Asbury Lanes on Friday, February 10th. And for the fans that can’t wait for the show, they can purchase the split album everywhere on February 7th.
Almost one year ago, Lost In Society hit the studio with Pete Skeinkopf (Bouncing Souls) to record a follow-up EP to their first full-length Eastern Empire. The EP produced by The Pete was quickly picked up by fast-rising indie punk label Altercation Records.
With American Pinup already well established in the Northeast and at festivals all over the country, the idea of the split release with the female-fronted surf/indie rockers was mutually beneficial to the bands.
“We always thought they were a killer band, so putting a split together just seemed to make sense to everyone when Altercation Records pitched the idea” said Lost in Society frontman Zach Moyle.
The Obvious, a local powerhouse, will be a supporting act at the CD release show along with a yet-to-be announced fourth group. Rutger’s radio WRSU 88.7 will be broadcasting the show live from the Lanes.
The year also holds serious touring for the group, with dates sprawled all over the U.S. Both Lost In Society and American Pinup will be performing at the Altercation Records showcase and famous “Punk Rock BBQ” at South By Southwest in Austin, TX this March. They’ll be co-headlining dates in over 10 cities across the country before and after SXSW, including Valley of the Vapors festival in Hot Springs, AR.
Lost In Society is also nominated for top indie punk band on the Tri State Music Awards and recently announced their 14 date run on Vans Warped Tour.
