Miz – Railroad Earth

Miz has a newly formed line-up that took stage at The Sherman Theater on 11-26-10 opening for Railroad Earth. The new line-up is Mike Mizwinski on guitar, Freeman White on keys, Bill Stetz on bass, AJ Jump on drums and Kris Kehr on guitar and mandolin. They kicked of there set with “Was a Time”. By the time they were on their 3 song song “October Skies” there was a nice size crowd down in front getting into the groove. Mike Mizwinski and Kris Kehr are very excited about this line-up so keep an eye out for them. Their set list for the night was: “Was a Time”, “Wink”, “October Skies”, “Time for Time”, “Our Dreams Are Back Then”, “Casket”, and ending with “Pinegrove Stomp”.

Railroad Earth and their fans (hobo’s) came out in full force for their 4th Annual Thanksgiving  weekend run at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg PA. With hobo’s driving from as far as California for the shows there was a special feeling in the air. Just like a big family reunion. “Happy Song” was the perfect song to get the party started. A great “Mighty River” and “Like a Budda” in the 1st set. The 2nd set really delivered with “The Jupiter” and the 119, 1759, “Goat”, a very nice “Neath The Stars” and “Elko” and they ended the show with “Tore Up Over You”.

Saturday’s show had got off to late start with good reason. Railroad Earth had put together a film crew of 10 to video tape the 1st set which will be their new self titled (Railroad Earth) CD. They will be offering this for free on their website when it is finished. A nice twist to this set was Todd Sheaffer doing a solo “Day On The Sand”. The 2nd set brought some of their “Warhead Boogie” and a “Road House Blues” that will not soon be forgotten. They then ended the show with “Railroad Earth”.
