This week’s releases is a bit of a shorter list but they are still great. This warm weather sure makes me want to go album shopping today.
PICK OF THE WEEK
Metronomy’s title track “Love Letters” is a fun song that is accompanied by a funky beat. The music video has the band in a box that is painted with all different scenarios. It’s pretty cool because it rotates and puts the band into scenes. “Love Letters” is a catchy song and because of the repetition, it’s for sure going to get stuck in your head.
NOT-SO-INDIE PICK OF THE WEEK
“Slow Me Down” is this heartbreaking song about a failing relationship and not necessarily wanting to leave but knowing you have to. Sara Evans is a house hold name for country music fans. While this song isn’t your typical happy go lucky tune, its a great song with a meaning and showcases Sara’s vocals.
