New Shins album Imminent, Tour Dates Announced

The Shins have taken a pretty long hiatus since releasing 2007′s Wincing the Night Away. James Mercer, head Shin, has announced that the group has left their former imprint Sup Pop, and will be releasing a new album next year via Mercer’s own Aural Apothecary label (which is distributed through Colombia). The group has also experienced another lineup change, now including Richard Swift, Modest Mouse drummer Joe Plummer, Yuuki Matthews of Crystal Skulls, and Jessica Dobson, and will hit the road for a short tour this month.
