Known for its dynamic live shows and extensive touring, O.A.R. formed in 1996 and released its debut recording, The Wanderer, the following year. The group’s 2005 album, Stories of a Stranger, featured the single “Love and Memories” and helped lead the band to mainstream success. Its follow-up recording, 2008’s, All Sides, made the Top 5 of the U.S. alternative and rock charts and included the smash hit “Shattered.” O.A.R. has produced several live and studio albums during its career, including The Rockville LP, released last summer. In January, the band performed at the 2015 NHL All-Star Game; on May 14 it will be among the performers taking the stage for the Dear Jerry, the Jerry Garcia tribute event at Maryland’s Merriweather Post Pavilion.
Media partners for the O.A.R. show are B104 and the new Spin Radio 107.1 FM. Musikfest, one of the largest music festivals in the nation, is set for Aug. 7-16 in Bethlehem, Pa., with more than 500 performances taking place on 14 stages over 10 days.
