Englishman -Over the River and through the Woods
We’re lucky we brought our good hats on this trip. Perpetually one step behind the midwestern blizzards, recently back in the nation’s capitol, we Englishman (Andrew English, Matt Duncan) are keeping warm in the cozy home of old friends in the DC area. This afternoon was spent filming a few takeaway shows with two very sweet ladies at Georgetown University’s radio station. We played “Classically Trained” in a great empty library and “Boy T-Rex” perched in a freezing cold graveyard for Jesuit Priests. Brrrr. Tomorrow takes us to Philadelphia, first to Drexel University for an on-air performance at 4:30 (http://wkdu.org/). Tomorrow night (12/8), we’ll be playing at the OX Warehouse – the night starts at 7, and goes til…?? Papertrees, Toy Soldiers, and the Hezekiah Leaves/Spinning Joneses will close the show. Come join us for a close to christmas feel-good folk dance party at the OX. The vegan pizza feast fed to us tonight calls me to sleep. Goodnight, tri-state.
