The Dean Ween Group treated the crowd at the MusikFest Cafe in Bethlehem Thursday night to a spectacular (and LOUD – exhilaratingly LOUD) performance, leaving no doubt that the guys still can rock the house.
Lead by Dean Ween himself (Mickey Melchiondo, guitars, vocals and half of the former WEEN), the five-man rotating cast of characters put on a show not soon to be forgotten. Guy Heller (vocals) was magnificent with the microphone, energetic and charismatic. Nothing if not eccentric, Heller started the night off by whipping a piece of celery out of his pocket and offering it to a suspicious fan. Perfectly normal, right? Of course!
Guitars were mastered by both Dave Dreiwitz (bass) and Joe Kramer. Last but certainly not least, an amazing job on the drums by Ray Kubian. If you get a chance, check these guys out live.
