The Toasters w/Royal City Riot

Rocks Off Concert Cruise aboard the Jewel

Ska legends The Toasters set sail aboard the Jewel for a ride around Manhattan last week on the Rocks Off Concert Cruise boat.  The Toasters have been going strong since 1981, and have been extremely busy this past year and a half after the band’s 2010 release of 2Tone Army.

Loaded with a number of big mucky mucks of the New York Ska scene (including TSI favorites Bigger Thomas and members of The Rudie Crew), the boat set sail right around 7pm, and made its way around New York’s Harbor to  grey yet picturesque views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines.

The Toasters took the stage around 8pm after a great set by Royal City Riot, and played a number of their classics and current material to a much appreciative and diverse audience, including surprise songs featuring toaster Roy Radics.  Additional photos can be found here.
