Pizza Hut and Home Depot Deny Black Keys' Allegations

A few weeks ago, The Black Keys filed a suit against Pizza Hut and Home Depot for ripping off their songs in advertisements. In today’s news, it’s no big shock that both companies deny these allegations. Entertainment Weekly reports that on Thursday and Friday in Los Angeles, each company filed a document stating explicitly that neither Pizza Hut nor Home Depot illegally used The Black Keys’ music. the band alleges that Pizza Hut ripped off ”Gold on the Ceiling” in an ad, and that Home Depot used a section of “Lonely Boy” to sell power tools. Each company also requested that the Keys pay their lawyer fees in the event that the companies win. Below is the uncomfortably awkward video for “Gold on the Ceiling.”
