Co-produced by lead singer Chris Duggan and producer Richard Barone, Chemistry is pop with a razor’s edge of rock and an aftershave of punk. Duggan, who also penned all five songs on the EP, crafted a contemporary sound for this collection of in-your-face songs. Off the heels of Chemistry’s successful EP release in 2014, Plaid Brixx has been busy on the road, hitting festivals including CMJ Music Marathon, Fashion Meets Music Festival and most recently, South by Southwest. The band has released a stream of video content in support of the record, including two official music videos for songs “Hipster Queen” and “Chemistry,” as well as acoustic and live-studio performance versions of the title-track.

Formed in early 2013 by Duggan, Plaid Brixx is also comprised of Mark Smith on drums, and Cole Bradley on bass. After playing together in a high school band, the trio is now showcasing their new sound years later. In regards to the band’s debut EP, Duggan explains, “Our objective was to pick and choose our favorite elements of electronic, rock and pop music and ‘Frankenstein’ them together. I believe we’ve achieved that with this music.”

The extremely well received release of “Chemistry” was featured on Artist Direct where the band exclusively premiered the lyric video for the title track here: http://bit.ly/1qSlvSC. You can also stream the full EP on Diffuser.fm, here:  http://bit.ly/1oh3ze1.
