PRX’s – ‘Sound Opinions’ Chicago Based Program
Another public radio program we love!! And it airs in the XPN listening area right before our beloved, Mountain Stage Radio Show!
Sound Opinions explores histories, praises, rages, and criticism of everything from classic rock to classic hip hop to indie rock, R&B and every other genre in between. The two hosts of Sound Opinions spend over a decade competing with each other as top pop music journalist -Jim DeRogatis at the Chicago Sun-Times and Greg Kot at the Chicago Tribune. Now they’ve joined forces for an hour to sometime agree and sometimes agree to disagree about hot topics and artist in popular music. One cool thing on each show, they allow callers to leave phone messages about their own personal opinions on the topics of discussion and then they play them on air at the end.
You can listen to Sound Opinions on the Chicago’s public station, WBEZ 91.5. This show is distributed by PRX (Public Radio Exchange) ‘Public Radio Exchange is an online marketplace for distribution, review, and licensing of public radio programming. PRX is also a growing social network and community of listeners, producers, and stations collaborating to reshape public radio.’
