Oh Honey, PUBLIC, and Nick Santino saw the finale of their “Postcards Across America Tour” at World Cafe in Philly on Sunday.  It was the end to a nearly month long tour, beginning back in Los Angeles and spanning all the way to the east coast.  You could tell the whole gang become new best friends through their journey together, as they joined in camaraderie with each other throughout the night onstage at World Cafe Live.

The trio pairing gave us a unique blend of genres throughout the night to capture everyone’s interest.  Nick Santino kicked everything off with a solo set, showcasing his blend of country infused vocals.  Which was a nice change up to Nick’s last gig as the frontman of pop punk band, A Rocket to the Moon.  Armed solely with his electric guitar, Nick treated us to a taste of his new alternative rock/country sound, as featured in his recent EPs.  His solo set also included was an in impromptu ‘YMCA’ dance when it came on the speakers between songs, still not sure why this happened.

Next up we saw the upbeat pop trio, PUBLIC, took the stage.  PUBLIC got the room moving to their funky tunes and the ladies swooning over their good looks.  Offering up the fun blend of up beat grooves, PUBLIC proved to be a new crowd favorite.  Brownie points also go out to Ben for drumming even after his tour mates stole and rearranged his drum kit during the last song.

Oh Honey finished off the night (and the tour) with a high energy set.  The Brooklyn 5-piece displayed their unique infusion of upbeat rock and catchy cute pop ballads, set to folk stylings.  They knew how to sway the crowd.  Now seasoned vets of the road, Oh Honey brought down the house with a magical performance of tunes new and old.  Check out their new EP Wish You Were Here.  Now it’s time to slap some postage on this card and send it home!
