Alternative countryband, American Hollar, is scheduled to release their first album, The Things You Can’t Change, this weekend. Michael Males, owner of, heads this Southern York County band as the songwriter and rhythm guitar/vocalist. The genre is a mixture of Bluegrass, Americana, and Honky Tonk Folk – countrytime fun all in one!


The band of musicians include legendary Mr.Jeff Hostetter on dobro and banjo, Jeff Kid on mandolin, Jeff Stike on lead guitar, Chad Flahrty on upright bass, Sean Fifer on percussion, and lastly Mr. Denny Wedekind who played lead guitar AND mixed the project.

The highly anticipated album contains 7 “Mostly Live” tracks that were recorded at the Sleepy Hollow Recording Studio in Delta, PA, along with 4 bonus tracks. Their second album titled The Doublewide Sessions, which is already in production at Mason Dixon Music, will feature 2 of the 4 bonus tracks from their first album.


The release party is schedule for this Saturday, March 22nd at The Cove, 1500 South George Street, York, PA from 10pm to 1am. Merch and CD’s will be available for listeners who come out and celebrate for this project release.
