91 year old songwriter Hal David has died last night due to complications of a stroke, as The Huffington Post reports.  David was known for working with many artists, but his most famous work comes with his collaboration with Burt Bacharach.  Many of the songs include “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head,”  ”What the World Needs Now Is Love,” and “Close to You.”  Earlier this year, Hal David and Bacharach won Library of Congress’ Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.
