VIA PHILLY MOSTLY VEGAN:
Flashback to about two months ago, when I flew to Texas to visit some family right before I started my prep class for nursing boards. I set up an interview with one of my favorite up and coming bands, Seryn, in their hometown of Denton. Don’t go searching for it though, as I got so caught up with studying for boards, passing boards, and now my actual big girl job that I have yet to put the final touches on it.
In the meantime, I’ll leave you with some very exciting information. Seryn will play The Victorian Dining Room Series at North Star Bar this evening for FREE. That’s right, free. I’ve been anxiously waiting to see these guys in action ever since I first heard their album, This is Where We Are, back in March. I could go on and on about how good these guys are and why you should come out to NSB on a Monday night, but I’ll just leave you with the video that started at all.
While I’ve never attended one of these events at NSB, I can only imagine how perfect the setting will be for Seryn’s beautiful lyrics and mesmerizing harmonies. See a living room performance of my favorite song, “We Will All Be Changed,” below. If this isn’t incentive enough to go, I don’t know what is.
Show starts at 8. Josh Olmstead will open.
