On May 28th, Icelandic post-rock heroes Sigur Rós will release Valtari. Their first studio album since 2008 will feature more ambience, electronic and minimal elements than ever before. In an interview with Q Magazine, the band said that the album title translates to “Steamroller” in english and that the music “kind of just rolls over you, in a good way.” The album was produced by frontman Jónsi and collaborator Alex Somers. Although many dates have yet to be announced, the bands world tour in support of the release will feature a brand new band-designed stage set.
