Calling all Jerry fans! This weekend get ready for Steal Your Face Festival, which most of you may know as”Jerry Fest”. The actually kicked off yesterday, but for all of you looking for a great camping festival to shake your groove all weekend, with other fellow Jerry worshipers, this is the spot to be. Annual music festival in memory of Jerry Garcia benefits Autism
“Steal Your Fest” 2012 multiday Music & Art Festival, August 2nd- 5th Expect to hear incredibly diverse and select acts ranging from Blues, Funk, Bluegrass, Jam-grass, Traditional Rock, Experimental and late night jam sessions and of course plenty of Grateful Dead/Jerry Garcia tunes all weekend long.
Twenty one select and diverse bands from far and near will take over the stages for an entire weekend of nonstop live music and free on site camping at the base of the PA Blue Mountains and Appalachian Trail. Tent camping, car side, stage-view and RV campsites are available on over 125 acres at the Mountain Springs Arena in Shartlesville PA.
Featured acts include: Dopapod, Flux Capacitor, MIZ & The Good Lovin’ Jam Band. The Primate Fiasco, 61 North, Citizens Band Radio, Hogmaw, Dakini, Willie Jack and the Northern Light, Steal Your Face, Mystery Fyre, The Heard, Mantis, Titanium Stardust Machine, The Roy Jay Band, The Wallace Brothers Band, Boxcar Social, Echoes Talk Balk, The Barren Wells & The Galactic Cowboy Orchestra.
A huge 25,000 Square foot indoor facility hosts late night performances while doubling as a safe haven during poor weather, as the entire festival has the unique ability to move inside.
Shoppers will find high quality, original handmade jewelry, art, craft and food vendors exhibiting their creations in a dynamic open air market. Free bottleneck slide guitar workshop on Saturday.
Music starts Thursday at 6:00 PM and runs through Sunday morning. Tickets are $12.50 early entry, $50.00 pre-sale and $65.00 day of Show. $2.50 from every Thursday ticket will be donated to the TALK Institute & School.
