New Jersey ska band Streetlight Manifesto has finally been able to announce on their website the release date for their upcoming album The Hands That Thieve. The release date will be April 30th so get ready Streetlight fans!
On a previous post I stated that Streetlight Manifesto and their singer, Thomas Kalnoky (Toh Kay),’s upcoming albums (Streetlight’s The Hands That Thieve and Toh Kay’s The Hand That Thieves) would be coming out on an unspecified day in January. This was not, however, the case.
Streetlight Manifesto has had what one might call a tumultuous relationship with their record label, Victory Records, having gone so far as to request that their fans boycott their music. This has, needless to say, caused some internal problems and has resulted in the repeated postponement of the new album, which will be Streetlight’s final release on the label.
At long last, however, there is a definite release date. So mark your calendars, people. The album is still available to preorder through the Risc Store, through which the band can benefit the most from record sales.
In the meantime, Streetlight Manifesto has released another small sample of a track on the album in addition to the two prior releases to satisfy (or whet, as the case may be) your appetite.
