MOON TAXI
Moon Taxi began the day at The Porch Stage, getting the crowd pumped up from the get go for a KILLER Day 2.
THE FELICE BROTHERS
The Felice Brothers played the Firefly Stage while Kids These Days rocked The Porch Stage on the other side of the festival.
Michael Franti and Spearhead
Michael Franti and Spearhead took over the Firefly Stage, bringing a super fun, happy energy to the festival.
GROUPLOVE
At the same time, Grouplove drew a huge crowd at The Lawn Stage that they earned opening with their well-known singles and rocking a cover of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.”
YOUNG THE GIANT
After the high energy sets of The Knocks and Grouplove, festival-goers laid low at The Firefly Stage to watch Young the Giant. The band dropped a brand new song on the super-chill crowd as they recovered on the lawn and in The Hammock Hangout, where hammocks were hung in a shady clearing of The Woodlands.
CHIDDY BANG
Chiddy Bang can flow with the best of ‘em. If you haven’t heard of this cat – its time to check him out!
MODEST MOUSE
Later, Modest Mouse stole the attention, gathering the majority of the festival-goers at The Firefly Stage.
LUPE FIASCO
The crowd split after the set to go see Yeasayer on The Lawn Stage & Lupe Fiasco on The Backyard Stage. Yeasayer drew a decent crowd, although many were disappointed the band replaced Passion Pit, who had dropped out a few days before the festival.
The Killers (who allowed no press photos to any publications) wrapped up the night with a set made up, mostly, of their best-known tunes, but also included a healthy dose of pyrotechnics and confetti. The audience waited patiently for the encore when The Killers ended 20 minutes early, then left to attend the festival’s after party, where Yeasayer played again, or to their campsites where several groups made their own after parties before crashing in preparation for Firefly Day 3.
