THIS EVENT IS ALL AGES

The Queers
The Queers are a punk band formed in 1982 by Portsmouth, New Hampshire native Joe King (A.K.A. Joe Queer). Supposedly, the name ‘Queers’ was used simply to poke fun at the art community in New Hampshire. The band originally broke up in 1984, but reformed with Joe Queer and a new line-up in 1990. That year, the band signed with Shakin’ Street Records and released their first album Grow Up. The album earned the band notoriety within New England, but with the release of their next album 1993′s Love Songs for the Retarded, on Lookout! Records, their following grew larger.

In 2006, after releasing six albums on Lookout!, the band rescinded their master rights from the label, citing breach of contract over unpaid royalties. Later that year they signed with Asian Man Records and released a new album entitled “Munki Brain”, and this year will see the release of their latest pop punk opus, “Back To The Basement”.

The Apers

The Apers are a Dutch pop punk band who formed in Rotterdam in 1996. They have released their albums on Stardumb Records, apart from the 2007 album Reanimate My Heart, which was released by Sonic Rendezvous Records in Europe, and Insubordination Records in the USA. They have played about 700 shows all over Europe and the USA. The band is often compared to Screeching Weasel, not lastly because of frontman Kevin Aper’s snotty vocal delivery, reminiscent of Ben Weasel.

The Sheckies

A South Jersey shore based pogo-bubblegum-Ramones-core trio that weighs in excess of 800 pounds. We love The Queers, Sloppy Seconds, Screeching Weasel, Groovie Ghoulies, Lovegutter, Lillingtons, and MC Chris. In our spare time we watch Godzilla flicks, eat ice cream, and play video games. Their interests include a love of touring and entertaining people.
