Sometimes music makes for strange bedfellows. Such is the case with Central PA duo, Times Two. Singer guitarist, Ken Heeter, put it like this….”I’m James Taylor and Brad Hajek [lead guitar, vocals, harmonica] is more like Metallica guitarist James Hetfield. When we got together I didn’t think it was gonna work. I went to Brad’s house and we played the song “Drive”  by Incubus and it just clicked.”

The rest as they say is history. The duo is going on it’s seventh year together and has just played their 750th show. They play about 100 shows a year and perform at venues from Fire Island, NY to Rockville, MD. Though their repetoire is mainly covers, the band collaborates on original material as well. “Our songs have a kind of John Mellencamp feel, we have fun but there is a serious side to some as well.”  A perfect example is “One Day” which is about a friend’s son who went overseas to fight in Afghanistan. This and ten other of their originals can be found on their 2009 release, Drive Away. For more info about Times Two or where to see them perform check out or
