Tri State Live is off on it’s first annual South By South West music adventure. Members of the TSI crew will be making their way to Austin, Texas for the paramount indie music festival of the season, South By South West. As Austin is overcome by music, TSI’s team will be there to beam back live updates, photos and video interviews to the Tri State Live (TSLive) @ SXSW section of the Tri State Indie website.

2011 marks SXSW Music and Media Conference’s 25th anniversary. Originally, a conference for music, SXSW has grown into a week long gathering focused on interactive, film and music. The 2011 festival runs from March 11th to 20th. Over 2,000 official SXSW musical showcases are scheduled for the music portion which runs from March 15th to the 20th. In addition to official showcases and parties, many, many more bands will trek to Austin to play unofficial SXSW shows throughout the city. For these five days, SXSW will be a musical hotbed, alive with artists from all over the world.

Tri State Indie will be headquartered at Hotel Vegas Bar on 6th Street, right in the heart of Austin. From their headquarters, TSI contributors will be capturing the musical buzz throughout Austin. In addition, Tri State Indie will be hosting bands in our TSLIVE interview lounge. Bands will come to hang out with the TSI crew, enjoy a tasty brew and answer a few questions on video about their experience thus far with SXSW 2011. All interviews will be shot in HD and posted to TSLIVE @ SXSW section: (link).

Originating in 2009, Tri State Indie has grown from covering shows in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey to covering major, national festivals and concerts across the US. Being independent themselves, Tri State Indie focuses on the independent side of the music industry, seeking to provide musicians and fans of this sector a way to connect, share and revel in the music, virtually and in person.
