Those Darlins at JB's Tonight! Check Out Interview Here.
Country music plays a role in our band, but we’d never classify ourselves as a country band. If you think that’s what you’re getting when you come see us you might be suprised. But we are doing Hank Cochran cover in our set now. We’re just as influenced by The Ronettes and Suicide as the Carter Family and Ernest Tubb. Some would be quick to label Those Darlins as a feminist band. How true is that? If so how important is sexuality to your lyrical content?
As Rebecca West said “I, myself, have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is. I only know that people call me a feminst whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a door mat or a prostitute”We’re people that write songs about our lives. We happen to be women.Where does most of your song-writing inspiration come from?
Somewhere out the in the air the ideas are there you just have to grab em up.What’s your favorite part of going on tour?

Off Broadway – St. Louis MOCumberland caverns – Tennessee cave we played in with Charlie LouvinJj’s Bohemia – Chattanooga, TNWhich city has the best pizza?
New York City. Oh but if we’re talking worldwide, Trieste, Italy. If your band was in a horror movie, who would die first? What kind of horror movie are we talking about here? A slasher flick? Zombies? Ultimately i think Jessi would die first but as film unravels it would then be unveiled that SHE IN FACT WAS THE KILLER ALL ALONG!!
