With a heat index of 120 degrees Friday afternoon, just making it to this music fest was an event all in itself. I don’t know about everyone else, but I was exhausted before the music even started. At least Wiggins Park is right on the water, so we were able to take advantage of the breeze – of hot air… It suddenly all became worth it (well, mostly worth it) when the music started.
Day 1 was filled with talented bands and musicians: Johnny Miles and the Waywards, Nicos Gun, North Mississippi Allstars, Gary Clark Jr., The Smithereens, Joseph Arthur and Citizen Cope closing out the night with a sweet acoustic set. Stay tuned for more Tri State Live coverage. Also, if you’re attending this event, please make sure to drink lots of VITAMINWATER!
