Awakening from the woozy come-down of ‘So Cruel’, Canadian three-piece Young Empires launch head first into a sea of hedonistic synths and slick guitar-work with their brand new single ‘The Gates’.
Treading the lines between dance music and rock with infectious ease, ‘The Gates’ (debuted by Indie Shuffle) is just a glimpse of what awaits within their debut album, out later this year.

In the words of the band:
The Gates is essentially about fighting through depression and self-doubt… understanding and accepting that things will never be perfect. It suggests that by uniting with those around us (that may or not struggle with same), we can overcome this feeling of isolation that is so commonplace in this world.
Young Empires are Matthew Vlahovich, Jake Palahnuk and Taylor Hill.
